The gay rights movement has been challenged in the courts. Some conservatives have called for a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriages; in 2012, President Barack Obama became the first U.S. president to support same-sex marriage. Meanwhile, some religions and churches have been struggling with the issues of gay marriage and of the ordination of gay clergy. Thirteen of our states have legalized gay marriage.
I don't agree with gay marriage at all. I think it is one of the most disgusting things. I personally do not agree with anything that has to do with gay rights, I don't think that it should be allowed. What really upsets me is that the president of the United States agrees with gay rights and thinks that it is okay. I understand that for gay people that's good, well to all the rest of us I think it is just disgusting. I don't think that gay marriage should be allowed anywhere and I don't agree with it at all. I also don't think that it is good that 13 out of 50 states have legalized gay marriage. I know that the number could be worse, but in my opinion the number should be zero.
